SAN FRANCISCO – The Pac-12 announced television broadcast details for the 2021-22 women’s basketball season on Monday, including game dates, start times and television assignments for the Conference slate, along with network information for select nonconference games hosted by Pac-12 schools. Every Pac-12 league game will be televised as part of a package that includes 125 total games on Pac-12 Networks and another six on ESPN networks.

Defending national champion Stanford will be featured in home ESPN telecasts against Texas on Nov. 14 (channel TBD) and, in a rematch of last year’s NCAA title game, when it hosts Arizona on Jan. 30 (ESPN2). UCLA hosts the Cardinal on ESPN on Feb. 3 and Oregon wraps up its regular-season home schedule against Stanford on Feb. 20 on ESPN2. The Ducks will step out of Conference for an ESPN-date in mid-January when they welcome Connecticut to Matthew Knight Arena on Jan. 17 (channel TBD).

Pac-12 Networks will air the first 10 contests at the 2022 Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Tournament, presented by New York Life, which is scheduled for March 2-6 at Michelob ULTRA Arena at Mandalay Bay in Las Vegas. The Conference’s postseason event has been permanently modified to feature an open date on Saturday, with 11 games spread out over five days, and Sunday’s championship will be carried on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. PT. Check pac-12.com/tickets for the most up-to-date information on tournament on-sale dates and special offers.

The regular season tips off on Pac-12 Networks on Nov. 10, as UCLA battles Pepperdine, and Stanford makes its Pac-12 Networks season debut on Nov. 16 against Portland. Conference play begins Dec. 28 with UCLA hosting rival USC, and all 12 teams are in action on Pac-12 Networks on Dec. 31.

In total, each Pac-12 program will be featured at least 16 times on Pac-12 Networks: Arizona (17), Arizona State (19), California (18), Colorado (20), Oregon (18), Oregon State (18), Stanford (16), UCLA (20), USC (18), Utah (19), Washington (18), Washington State (19).

Games aired on an ESPN network will also be available via the ESPN App on smartphones, tablets, connected streaming devices or espn.com/watch. In a first for the Conference, the Pac-12 is coming off a season in which its top two regular-season finishers – Stanford and Arizona – met for the national championship. The 2021 title game was just the seventh time in NCAA women’s basketball history that two teams from the same league met for a championship and was the first to feature two schools from west of the Mississippi River since 1986 (Texas vs. USC).

Over the last six seasons, the Pac-12 leads all conferences in Final Four appearances (6), NCAA Tournament wins (70), NCAA Tournament winning percentage (.707) and WBCA All-Americans (13). In the first year using the NCAA Evaluation Tool (NET) for women’s basketball, four of the top 10 teams in the final NET rankings for 2021 were from the Pac-12 in national champion Stanford (No. 1), national runner-up Arizona (No. 7), UCLA (No. 8) and Oregon (No. 10), a total double any other league. The Pac-12 was also the nation’s top-rated conference by RPI in three of the final five seasons (2016, 2017, 2020) that metric was used by the Division I Women’s Basketball Committee.

All 12 head coaches and two student-athletes from each school will be in San Francisco tomorrow to preview the upcoming season as part of 2021 Pac-12 Women’s Basketball Media Days. Complete coverage will be available across Pac-12 Networks, Pac-12 Insider, Pac-12.com and the Pac-12 Now app.
