Recap: Owen Miller went 3-for-4 and four Columbus pitchers held Omaha to four hits in a 2-0 victory. The Clippers broke a scoreless tie in the sixth inning when Nolan Jones singled home Bobby Bradley from second. Bradley had singled and advanced on a single by Miller. Columbus added a run in the eighth when Miller tripled home Daniel Johnson. Clippers starter Kirk McCarty (2-0) pitched six innings, allowing three hits and striking out three. He was followed by one inning each from relievers Robert Broom, Anthony Gose and DJ Johnson, who picked up his second save with a hitless ninth.
