It is set to be a historic week at Manchester United as Cristiano Ronaldo prepares for his second debut at the club against Newcastle.
Ronaldo, 36, is currently in Manchester preparing for his return to training and could feature for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side in their next Premier League outing on Saturday afternoon.
The Portuguese ace is already having a massive impact on his new teammates with teenage forward Anthony Elanga eager to learn from the five-time Ballon d’Or winner. “I was starstruck when I heard he was coming to United,” he told Fotbollskanalen.
“I will be looking at everything with Ronaldo. How he does what he does, what he does before and after training. I’ll be asking the questions any other person would. I have heard he speaks a lot with young players and I look forward to meeting him.”
Elsewhere, and despite Ole Gunnar Solskjaer recently stating otherwise, one reporT claimed Anthony Martial – who is said to be ‘Joel Glazer’s golden boy’ in the article – has numbered days ahead of him at the club after Ronaldo’s deadline day arrival.
Martial was linked with a late move to both PSG and Lyon, but neither transfer to Ligue 1 materialised.
