Tyson Fury parties in Vegas after KO’ing Deontay Wilder

Tyson Fury’s father John Fury believes his son should avoid a clash with Dillian Whyte in favour of a bout with Oleksandr Usyk.

Fury defeated Deontay Wilder to retain his WBC title at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The highly-anticipated third bout of their epic trilogy lived up to the billing and will go down as one of the great heavyweight fights in modern boxing history.

Fury was in the driving seat early, particularly after he knocked Wilder down in round three.

The Bronze Bomber – who reportedly broke his hand in the loss – impressively struck back in round four as he knocked Fury to the canvas twice, critically striking the Brit when he was struggling to stand.

John Fury does not believe Dillian Whyte is in the same class as his son

However, Fury got to his feet and responded excellently to seize control of the fight in the latter rounds.

His dominance ensured that it was his fight to lose and after Wilder picked himself up from a 10th-round knockdown, Fury delivered the killer blow with a crushing 11th-round knockout strike.

The WBC have ordered Fury to fight the winner between mandatory challenger Dillian Whyte and Otto Wallin, who clash later this month.

Tyson’s father John Fury is not a fan of the potential all-British bout, as he believes Ukrainian champion Oleksandr Usyk should be next for his son.

Anthony Joshua lost his WBA, WBO and IBF world titles to Usyk after suffering the second loss of his career last month.

“In my idea, it’s Oleksandr Usyk next, or nothing,” John Fury told talkSPORT. “I wouldn’t bother with the rest of them, they’re not in Tyson’s class. Would Dillian Whyte deal with Deontay Wilder? No.

“So why put him in with my son and get him knocked out?”

Frank Warren claimed the Brit can headline events at every stadium in England – and Manchester United fan Fury has previously admitted it is his ‘dream’ to fight at Old Trafford.

Fury could face compatriot Whyte if the 33-year-old defeats Wallin on October 30.
