Mayweather is returning to the ring for a six-round exhibition against the YouTube star this summer, having last competed in a similar event against Japan’s Tenshin Nasukawa back in 2018.
Paul has only fought twice since venturing into boxing; first drawing an amateur bout against YouTube rival KSI in 2018 before losing their professional rematch a year later.
Despite that loss, the 26-year-old is supremely confident heading into his lucrative showdown with Mayweather, whom he believes is taking him far too lightly.
“People just underestimate the amount of work we put into this sport,” Paul said when talking about him and his brother Jake in his latest YouTube vlog.
“The amount of actual hours and dedication, what we put our body and mind through to make this happen. For the past three years, we actually got good at this s***.
“And I think that’s Floyd’s biggest mistake and my biggest advantage going into this fight.
“Floyd’s really underestimated me man. We got f****** dangerous at this sport.
“You do anything for three years, you’re gonna become good at it. I just outwork motherf******. That’s my secret and Jake’s secret too.
“Everyone’s so mad that we’re winning, f****** do something about it.”
Paul and Mayweather came face to face for the first time at their opening press conference last week, but it was the former’s brother who dominated the headlines in Miami.
Jake sparked a mass brawl at the event when he stole Mayweather’s hat, triggering a furious reaction from the boxing legend.
Just before his hat was stolen and the brawl started, Mayweather sensationally claimed he would be prepared to face both Paul brothers on the same night.
But old rival Conor McGregor has branded him “embarrassing” for becoming involved with YouTubers, urging him to “fight someone for real or f*** off”.
