Conor McGregor posts cryptic tweet minutes after Jake Paul’s Tyron Woodley win

Conor McGregor had fans talking on social media with a cheeky tweet moments after Jake Paul beat Tyron Woodley via a split decision.

Paul, 24, remains undefeated since turning his hand to boxing and looked comfortable against MMA fighter Woodley.

Talk has now turned to who the YouTuber will fight next, with a huge list of potential opponents waiting for him.

McGregor has always stayed relatively quiet about Paul, despite the American trashing his UFC record, his wife and offering him millions to step into the ring with him.

But in the immediate aftermath of the fight, the injured Irishman simply tweeted: “Salivating.”

McGregor’s replies were full of fans commenting on Paul’s performance on the night.

But the UFC icon then tweeted again minutes later, showing fans what he was really drooling over.

“My lobster pasta is on route,” he wrote, with a video of his food in front of him.

Speculation will now surely return that McGregor and Paul could meet in the ring in the near future.

McGregor is at a crossroads in his UFC career after losing to Dustin Poirier for a second time earlier this summer.

The 33-year-old insists he wants to fight Poirier again but may have to settle for a lesser opponent.

McGregor knows the fight game, however, and knows he could probably attract a huge purse by giving in to Paul’s demands and fighting him in an exhibition bout – that he would probably win.

As for Paul himself, talk of a McGregor fight has gone quiet in recent months with the social media star turning his attention to Tommy Fury.

The ex-Love Island star won on Paul and Woodley’s undercard last night, before calling out the main event star in the aftermath.

Paul was quick to dismiss talk of a fight, insisting he wanted to take his time before choosing his next opponent.

“I’m not sure [if Tommy Fury is next]. I haven’t stopped, I need to figure who I am. I’m keeping my head on straight, I’ll get back in the gym when ready. Let’s see,” he said.
